They've outgrown that rap a bit now, have some pro endorsers - and they seem to be catering to the guitarist's ear a LOT more than they used to. They've been in business at least since the sixties that way, and their gear has always been a staple for local garage bands. AFAIK, all the amps and speakers are designed and assembled right here in southern California. It was all sold by mail order, there was only ONE showroom in the entire world, there at the factory. That's why you don't see them at Guitar Center, Musician's Friend, or your local mom and pop - except as used gear.
